About Apogee Management Group We believe that there is nothing more regrettable than lost opportunity. And so with every one of our clients, our chief objective is to help each one realize the full potential of every business opportunity.
Achieving this objective starts by fully understanding the client’s expectations. It is reached by taking a no-excuses responsibility for meeting those expectations. This uncompromising position has consistently resulted in client acknowledgements for the quality of our work instead of being in the position of justifying results at the conclusion of the engagement (click here to read more on this topic).
We are strong advocates of the project management discipline, primarily due to the accountability culture it promotes. Coupled with our Engineering and Operations Management capabilities, this combination provides the foundation for achieving the chief objective for our clients.
About Rob Cimini, PMP Rob has spent over 30 years in diverse manufacturing and industrial environments including R&D, process engineering, equipment development, plant operations management and now is entering his 8th year as an independent consultant.
As an engineer, the technical challenges were always the enticing part of Rob’s work. But from a projects standpoint, most management methods were home-grown and seemed beset with crisis management and fire fighting. A better method was needed to assure that business opportunities could be fully and predictably realized. A structured but flexible project management methodology has been the answer. And as Rob has demonstrated to his clients, the proper application of formalized project management can dramatically change the working environment as well as expected outcome of project s. Committed to the profession, he has achieved his certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
Through his experience and on-going management training, Rob has recognized that the inevitable uncertainties present in any project become the real obstacles to success. Better known as Risk Management in the world of project management, this has become an area of focus and specialization. Risk can be a difficult issue to approach with many clients but consistent with Rob's accountability position, it is part of every engagement and vital in assuring that client expectations are met.
Professional Background A certified project management professional (PMP), Rob is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) as well as the institute’s New Hampshire Chapter and held the position of Risk Special Interest Group Liaison. He is an affiliate member of the Institute of Management Consultants of New England (IMCNE) as well as a member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE). Rob served as a team member on PMI’s Program / Portfolio Management Standards project and is a United Way volunteer as a project management resource. He is an instructor with the University of New Hampshire's Center for Professional and Graduate Studies on Risk Management. We felt that Rob provided key leadership and technical know-how at a time when this project was in trouble and desperately needed the organization and discipline he applied to complete it.
