How We Can Help?
Adopting project management within organizations leads to better strategic decision-making and provides a basis for confidence that strategic objectives will be achieved. It insures that projects reflect the business plan. And there are organizational benefits such as improved resource utilization and morale resulting from the more structured and proactive environment that is integral to the project management approach. Our clients are able to approach their projects confident in their expectations for successful outcomes.

Project management thrives in a culture of accountability. Adopting our style of project management promotes that culture. Depending on your needs, we may utilize any of the following three approaches:
  • Management
In this capacity, we take the helm of the project. We will direct and participate in the development of a comprehensive project plan, and manage execution and control of the project through to formal project closure.

Our preference is to be engaged at the initial stages of project authorization, as this can be the most critical period in a project. It is what we call the initiation process during which project justification is established and the project product is clearly defined. We facilitate a candid discussion about the project product and objectives; constraints and assumptions; the major deliverables; project success criteria; and high level resource requirements, particularly financial resources. • Mentoring
For those clients who have a project management system in place and want to improve the process and the skills of their project managers, we offer an onsite mentoring workshop. The workshop is structured to be interactive with the project manager and selected team members. By facilitating the review of an actual project using probing questions, the practices that are well done as well as those that could become problematic are identified. A brief report outlining the findings is provided. This is an outstanding method for improving the skill of project managers and team members and will raise the maturity level of the entire project management system.
  • Methodology
Businesses lacking a project management system but who recognize the benefits of management by projects and are committed to adopting the accountability culture of project management, can benefit from the implementation of a customized methodology tailored to their type of business environment.

The system would be designed and implemented in stages based on mutually assessed priorities, projects that may be in progress or potential projects.

The process involves a combination of class room instruction followed by GPMPimplementation on actual client projects. As with all of our project work, we always include an auditing / evaluation phase which assesses the effectiveness and performance of the system implementation and identifies deficiencies and corrective action.
